WALT: write a poem with a twist 

I learned that poems don't have to rhyme  

I achieved my goal because I didn't always rhyme 

Here is my poem with a twist 

Movie

Make popcorn 

Get a blanket 

Get snuggled up 

No movie

Job 

Wake up early 

make toast  

Pick up black briefcase 

Open white car door

No job

Athletics day

WALT: I am learning different athletics skills. 

I figured out that in discus you can't glide the discus you have to throw it. 

I achieved my goal because I used all my strength to throw the discus.  

Next time I will try not to step out of the circle.  

Integrated learning

WALT:design a new piece of furniture for a new learning space.

I learned to take my time.

I achieved my goal because I stuck with my design.

Next time I will try a harder one.

PE

WALT:Pass, kick, and catch large balls.

I learned to put your hand in a W to pass a basket ball.

Here is an example of my learning 

Next time I will try to put my hand in a W every time I pass and shout.

Maths strategy

WALT: used standard form (algorithms) to solve + and - problems. 

I learned that the strategy makes maths easier

I achieved my goal because I kept With the strategy when I was terrible at it.

Next time I will try bigger equations

WALT: introduce ourselves in Te Reo

I learned to say my parents in Māori Ko Elle tōku mama Ko Glen tōku papa

I achieved my goal because I say my parents correctly in Māori 

Next time I will work harder to say my mountain correctly.

Reading term 2 week 7

WALT: make connections with a text.

I learned that you can connect stories with your life and the world.

I achieved my goal because I made connections with myself and the outside world.

Next time I will think about other stories.

Herb farm trip

I learnt how to plant a seed 

This is an example of the seeds we planted at oderings yesterday 

The steps we had to follow were:

-put soil in 

-put seeds 

-and water it 

I learnt that machines can  plant seeds and soil in the trays 

I achieved my goal of planting a plant.
